  1. I agree that animals should be cared for as if they were human beings. I feel that if you harm animals of any kind that you receive the same punishment as if you harmed an actual human being. I vote for equal rights for animals.

  2. Following these “Animal Advocate” blogs have made me so much more aware of cruelty to animals. I have started signing petitions on peta.org and will start reading labels to make sure the products I buy are not tested on animals. Sometimes it’s been so hard to watch the videos and I would be depressed for days. If we all work together, we can save these poor innocent animal lives.

  3. I agree with that Rich; if one kills an animal, he/she should go to jail just as if they murdered a person. It's just as bad and maybe even worse because the animal is so innocent and defenseless. Marg, it really does get depressing when doing this kind of "work"; it's so good to hear that you're more aware now. I'm sure you're spreading the word. Thanks again for the Whale video; it was great to see people helping.

  5. I wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemy. Just pure, unadulterated brutality.

  7. I do not know what to say about this issue. There are many more issues besides this one with animals to deal with. Torture is wrong across all the boards imaginable. ...... D Robinson CS115

  8. I would just like to say thank you for creating this blog. I am in an Ethic's class and this information posted here is very insightful. I hope that you all continue to post new information and open people's eyes to animal cruelty.

  9. These suggestions are very helpful to help animals that cannot help themselves. It is important for blogs like this to be created because people need to stop closing their eyes to things that they do not want to see and start doing something about it. It is very easy to ignore things that we do not like to see but even better to do something about it.

    1. This has been an eye-opening assignment. By word of mouth, we can all bring attention to animal cruelty, factory farms, the fur industry and most importantly the lists of products not tested on animals. Share, Share, Share the information!

  10. Factory farming is probably one of the worst animal topics to discuss. The raising of animals to kill them in masses for our consumption is insain. Animals need open ranges to live on. They need good lives. Animals are suppose to die because other species like us need to eat but they don't need to be killed like this.

  11. Thank you for advocating for the ones without their own voice. People overlook the need of animals because it is an inconvenient truth for them. People think they are so civilized and about animals. I thin kit's backwards. Animals are far more sophisticated and cultured then humans.

  12. It's very interesting to see everyone's point of view and wanting to raise their voices to make something happen. I never blogged before but this is a great way to find out what's going on in the world and what people expect to happen with it. This is a great way to spread the word about what changes need to happen to prevent animals from getting abused.

  13. I think that it is so fabulous that this group was started and that it has very ambitious goals! Animal advocates stand for such a great cause and truly help by drawing attention to an issue that so many people are not even aware is a problem. I see Nikki Queen was or is one of the vice-presidents. I do believe that is my cousin. This assignment just got interesting! That is so cool!

  14. Animal cruelty has become an everyday thing, whether it is in the zoo or the circus or at home. People do not think that animals have rights like us human being and they need to be respected. It is amazing to have somewhere to talk about how to protect these animals from cruelty.

  15. I like the idea of this group, but hope that things shared here are not just one sided. I hope that those who are a part of this group do more then blog about these problems but really get out and do something about it! It is important to start local, volunteering in local shelters and being a voice locally makes a difference!!

  18. I can't say this enough, Do not purchase from pet stores!!! Adopt from a shelter. These animals deserve a second chance at life, where as these animals in these pet shops are from puppy mills.

  19. In today's society, we can get the word out about Animal Rights so much easier and more widespread with social media. I am always posting about petitions for animals, stop puppy mills, etc. I am also a huge advocate of adoption and staying away from stores and breeders who nine times out of ten are abusing the animals in some way shape or form. I seem to have drawn more people into the fight for animal rights with all my postings and so i will continue the fight.

  20. This is such a great idea. I feel as the years go on the torture of animals become worse and worse because businesses today are becoming more and more money hungry. What better way to spread the word than the internet. Thank you, I look forward using this!

  21. This blog is a wonderful idea. It is a great way to inform people of the cruel situations animals encounter. For example, I do not think many people are aware of the way the animals are treated in the circus. When people are informed, they will spread the information to others and hopefully put these types of places out of business.

  22. It is awesome that you are trying to do the right things for helpless animals. I think if it were taught in earlier educational settings, that generation will be more passionate toward animals. Matt Hassler

  23. I'm speechless about what I have seen I couldn't even watch the entire thing because I don't agree with what is being done to the animals at all. I am not the biggest fan of animals but I don't want to see them getting hurt or mistreated neither.

  24. This is very awesome. I am so glad to hear about people standing up for these animals. They have no voice in this world and people can be so cruel. I wish I could own a farm and name it animal heaven and just adopt so many animals that are abused. :(

  25. I've reviewed some of the blogs and postings. I like to see people passionate about their cause and beliefs. I believe that is how you educate and change the minds of folks who normally wouldn't have an opinion. I'm taken back to the Indian tribes, where they utilized all parts of the animal: food, shelter, clothing, etc. They were appreciative of the animals sacrificed for their needs. Capitalism has contradicted just about all of that mentality.

  29. The publishers of this site do a great jobs at making the issues against animals known, and also at giving alternative ways to handle these issues. This blog is very informational, and social. It is very nice.

  30. These are all good ideas! although links to petitions in the first post would make it easier, making the info available works just as well.
